AI Assistant¶
What this is for¶
The built-in AI chat was meant to help with planning, summaries and organizing thoughts based on your data. In the current app version it is retired: the built-in AI provider configuration and the chat have disappeared from the interface, and AI access is to be provided through an MCP integration.
How to get there¶
There is currently no entry point. Neither the menu nor Settings has an AI section, and the former chat address is not supported.
What the code says¶
The app code keeps the implementation of the retired chat. Confirmed in it are these properties of that former feature:
| Element | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Own provider key | The user supplied a key for their own AI provider; the backend encrypted it and did not keep it in the browser. |
| Conversations | Private, with a list, renaming and deletion. |
| Message | Up to 12000 characters; Enter sent, Shift+Enter broke the line. |
| Action approval | Actions proposed by the AI required approval before execution. |
Common mistakes / pitfalls¶
- If an instruction or an app screen points you to an AI settings section, that is a sign you are using an older version — the current one does not have it.
- Retiring the chat does not remove other modules; planning and data remain unchanged.
