How to post on the community forum¶
What this is for¶
The forum (Community) is public threads grouped into topic sections.
You can write with Markdown, tag others with @handle, like replies and
follow new activity in notifications.
How to get there¶
Choose People → Community (/community). Forum notifications have their
own bell in the top bar (/community/notifications).
Step by step¶
- On the main page choose a section: General, Training, Health, Nutrition, Gear, Off-topic or Support.
- Click New thread, enter a Title (3–120 characters), choose a Category and fill in the Body (up to 5000 characters).
- Optionally enter Tags (comma separated) — up to five tags; commas separate them and letter case is ignored.
- To stay anonymous, turn on Post anonymously — your name and photo will not be shown.
- Click Post. The thread will appear on the section list or you will be taken to it.
- In a thread, write replies in the Write a reply field (up to 2000 characters), like with the heart button and respond to a specific reply with the Reply button under it.
- You edit and delete your own posts with the Edit and Delete buttons under the content.

Common mistakes / pitfalls¶
- A mention is a plain
@handlein the text — the recipient gets a mention notification; there is no separate field for mentions. - Besides the 10-link limit, the form also rejects a title shorter than 3 characters and an empty body.
- The tag search matches name fragments, so
cardalso findscardio; results come from the newest threads. - Replies form threads — a reply to a reply is indented, and after a parent is deleted its child moves to the top level.
