How to save episodes and get back to watching

What this is for

The watch plan stores named episodes or groups of episodes with duration and a date. The list separates items with no date, items scheduled for the future and items considered watched.

How to get there

Pick Leisure → Series (/series).

Step by step

  1. Pick New Series, enter Title, set Status and optional dates. Save with Add series.
  2. Open the series and in Watch plan enter Episode (e.g. S1 E1-3).
  3. Set the episode duration, optionally Date (optional), and pick Add.
  4. To get back to watching, open this list and find an item with no date or a future date. You write the season and episode number yourself in the name.
  5. After watching, use the Mark as watched icon: the episode's date changes to today.
  6. Use the Edit episode icon to fix the name, duration or date and pick Save. Changing the status of the whole series is available through Edit.

Common mistakes / pitfalls

  • Progress is the share of episodes dated today or earlier, not the share of completed planner tasks. It can grow as a scheduled date arrives.
  • The UI has no button to automatically resume from the last episode and no separate season model. The episode list is for manually picking what to watch next.
  • The Finished date cannot precede Started; the save does not let you clear existing dates of the whole series.
  • The Watched section on the series list may be collapsed; expand it to see the titles.
  • The episode's copy in the planner has its own state; the limits are described in planning in the library.
